Jared, Mallory and Simon trudged along in the early morning. One brother sees a thimble tack and all the children run into the woods. The brothers then see Mulgarath change into a old man. The goblins chased the kids, but they didn't catch them. After being underground trying to hide from the goblins, the children pop out from the sewerage pipe and found that the goblins were still chasing them. The children see a giant goblin coming to try to hurt them.
The children go to the old lady's house. She talked to Mallory and her brothers about the time when the goblins attacked her when she was a little girl. The children then see the goblins looking through the window and they run away from the goblins to their houses. When they got home they talked to their mum about the danger of the goblins. The kids told their mum not to get out of her car and then the goblins attacked them.
The Spiderwick Chronicles are a fun, exiting and at times scary adventure. I really enjoyed reading Book 1 and 5. You will never believe what happens!
