The story is about a boy named Ryan who is being chased by an evil gang. He meets a strange creature called Skulduggery, who is going to help him. At first, Ryan is afraid but soon they become friends. The evil gang try to trick and catch Ryan because he has something they need on his hand, but Skulduggery helps him to avoid them. While the gang are trying to destroy the planet, Ryan wants to save it. Can he do it?
I enjoyed reading this book. I thought it was exciting. It made me want to read more to find out what was going to happen in the next chapter. The text is good size print so it is easy to read. The book is not too thick so it doesn't take too long to finish. It is a really good book.
Skulduggery Pleasant is a good book if you like to read a series and if you like to read big books then I really recommend you read it.
