Kick it to Nick is #4 in the series. The story centers around an action packed game but our hero, Nick, doesn't know what is coming. You can see by the cover what is going to happen but it has a twist. He had been replaced as captain before a big game of football. In the previous book Nick and his friends thought they defeated all the mutant bugs but unfortunately he didn't.
Nick was replaced as captain right before the game, it was his worst nightmare to come true and it did, he didn't think that it was coming, a big bad thing was threatening to destroy the school in her sights and also she is not happy. Nick, Ella and Bruiser (who are Nick's friends who play in his football team) needed to challenge the most ugliest and nastiest thing.
Bruiser thought that checking the oval before the game is a good idea but Nick didn't want to. Will they go and listen to bruisers plan or not, and not go? Nick came home in goo after squishing all of the mutant bugs (in the previous book), Bruiser found a mould of rocks before the game, Ella found a skeleton of a dead wombat lying there straight after. All these crazy scenarios lead towards a great ending.
Overall my opinion is that this is a awesome book for anyone who likes football and it doesn't matter if you're a boy, or a girl. It's just a great book for anyone, and all of the hard work the author has put in for this exciting, funny rollercoaster ride.
